Category overview

About flip-flops & hawai slippers

The category covers classic rubber hawai-style flip-flops, lightweight EVA flip-flops, two-tone layered rubber designs and comfort-oriented casual flip-flops with softer, thicker footbeds.

You do not need to choose one of the example styles below. Most programmes start from the buyer's own design, a sample pair or reference photos, and we develop the sole, strap and footbed to match.

The main development decisions are the sole material (rubber or EVA), how the sole is made (cut from sheet or moulded), sole thickness and hardness, strap material and fixing, and how your branding appears on the footbed and strap.

Intended buyers

  • Private-label and retail brands adding a summer or beachwear line
  • Wholesalers and distributors supplying value footwear
  • Promotional, hospitality and event buyers needing branded slippers
  • Lifestyle brands developing their own flip-flop design

Development

Sizing, sampling, MOQ and quality

Sizing

  • Die-cut soles are sized by cutting die, so single sizes are practical
  • Moulded soles need a mould per size or size pair (for example 39/40), which affects the size run
  • EU sizing is the default; UK and US labelling on request

Sampling

  • Material and colour swatches for sole and strap
  • Sample pair in the core size to confirm feel, thickness and strap fit
  • Size run check before bulk for moulded designs
  • Pre-production sample approved as the bulk standard

MOQ

  • Minimums depend on sole material, colours, construction (die-cut or moulded) and packaging
  • New moulds add tooling cost and a per-size minimum; die-cut soles avoid mould tooling
  • Your MOQ is confirmed in the quotation, never assumed

Quality checkpoints

  • Sole thickness and hardness consistency against the approved sample
  • Strap fixing: plug seating and strap pull checks on samples
  • Colour matching of sole layers and straps
  • Edge finishing and flatness of soles
  • Logo position and print or emboss clarity
  • Pairing, size marking and packaging

The full development route, from design submission to dispatch, is explained on the manufacturing page.

FAQ

Flip-Flops questions

Can you make flip-flops to my own design?

Yes. Send your design files, a tech pack, a sample pair or reference photos through the RFQ. The four styles shown are only examples of what can be made.

Do I have to choose one of the example styles?

No. You can describe your own design in the quotation request and attach your files. Choosing an example is optional.

Rubber or EVA: which should I choose?

Rubber is denser, grips well and wears slowly; EVA is lighter and softer. The right choice depends on your price point and how the flip-flops will be used.

Can you put our logo on the footbed and strap?

Yes. Embossed, debossed or printed footbed logos and strap branding are confirmed on samples.

What is your MOQ for flip-flops?

It depends on material, colours, construction and packaging. We confirm the MOQ for your design in the quotation.
