Product overview
About school loafers
Loafers are popular with older pupils because they look smart and slip on quickly. The challenge is heel hold: without laces, the counter, collar padding and last shape keep the shoe on the foot.
We develop loafers on senior lasts with a firm counter and a cushioned heel grip, and check heel slip on wearers. A moc-toe apron or plain vamp is chosen to fit your uniform style.
OEM: your design
Send your design; we match last, apron and sole.
ODM: developed with you
Share uniform rules; we propose vamp style, materials and sole.

Branding without new tooling
- Insole printing. Logo printed or hot-stamped on the sock liner.
- Heel branding. Printed, embroidered, embossed or rubber-badge branding on the heel counter or tab.
- Woven labels. Woven tongue, side or pull-loop labels; minimums set by the label supplier.
- Heat-transfer branding. Printed transfers applied with heat; good for multi-colour logos on textiles.
- Custom shoeboxes. Printed boxes to your artwork; minimums set by the box printer.
- Hangtags. Printed swing tags attached to the pair.
- Barcode labels. EAN/UPC labels on boxes or polybags, from codes the buyer supplies.
- Carton markings. Shipping marks, size breakdown and destination printed or labelled on export cartons.
Branding that needs tooling
- Embossed logos. Heat and pressure with a metal die raise the logo on leather or synthetic.
Custom lasts, outsole moulds, cutting dies and branding tools may add tooling costs and raise minimum quantities. They are quoted separately before you commit.
Sizing and specifications
Sizing and technical specifications
Size conversions are approximate and vary by last and brand; they are not a production grading chart, and your own brand size chart replaces them if you have one. Technical measurements are set on your last and samples, recorded on the approved sample and controlled in bulk.
Mostly senior sizes. Heel slip is the key fit check and is tested on wearers.
Size charts: Unisex sizes, Children's and junior sizes

How to measure foot length
- 01Stand on a sheet of paper with full weight on the foot, heel against a wall.
- 02Mark the tip of the longest toe and measure from the wall to the mark in millimetres.
- 03Measure both feet and use the longer one; measure later in the day when feet are largest.
- 04Compare with the foot-length column, not the shoe's outside length.

Sampling, quality control and shipping explainedFAQ
School Loafers: questions buyers ask
Do loafers stay on well enough for school?
Heel hold depends on counter, padding and last. It is checked on wearers before the size set.
Can you make junior sizes?
Yes, though loafers are mostly bought for older pupils.
Can we choose a penny strap?
Yes, penny, tassel or plain vamp styles are possible.
Is the sole hard-wearing?
Rubber and PU outsoles are chosen for wear; thickness is agreed on samples.
Can you add school branding?
On the sock liner, heel and packaging.
What information do you need for a school footwear quotation?
Style or design, uniform rules, junior and senior size breakdown, quantities, branding, packaging and the delivery window you need.
Can we mix styles in one order?
Yes. Styles sharing materials and soles can be planned together, which helps with minimums.
Can we submit our own school shoe design?
Yes, with or without choosing one of these reference styles.
